We layer a raised maple map over a cut-through American flag. Each state border is carefully engraved, while open stars and stripes reveal the warm cherry layer underneath. The outer border reads “United States of America” and “250 Years of Freedom.”

🪵 How We Make the USA Map Wood Ornament
We create the detailed front from premium 1/8-inch maple plywood and pair it with a premium 1/8-inch cherry plywood backing. The light maple keeps the engraved state boundaries easy to see, while the darker cherry creates contrast through the flag openings.
Each ornament is precision-cut and engraved in our Arizona studio on Dusty Rose, our CO2 laser. We add no paint or stain. The natural wood tones and supplier-applied protective finish allow the grain to remain part of the finished design.

Engraving the borders of the 48 contiguous states at this size requires careful alignment and precise laser work. We create every layer in our Arizona studio and assemble the ornament by hand.

- Natural variations in wood grain, color, and tone make every ornament slightly different. These variations are part of real wood’s character and are not defects.
❤️ Returns & Damage
Because each piece is made to order, all sales are final and we do not accept returns or exchanges. If your ornament arrives damaged during shipping, contact us within five business days of delivery and include photographs of both the product and its packaging. We will assist with the carrier claim and work to make it right. If damage results from our workmanship, we will replace the affected piece.
