Four presidential portraits, a sweep of pine trees, and an American flag all share one small stage in this Mount Rushmore wood ornament. The familiar Black Hills landmark becomes a handcrafted keepsake filled with details that reward a closer look.
🏔️ A Mountain in Miniature
Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt, and Lincoln rise from the maple front layer, surrounded by engraved mountain textures and pine trees. Behind them, cherry plywood adds warmth and contrast while the cut-through flag allows the darker wood to become part of the design.
Around the border, “United States of America” and “250 Years of Freedom” frame the scene. Cut-through stars add another patriotic detail. It is a lot of American history packed into approximately 3.5 by 3.8 inches.
🇺🇸 Layered Depth in This Mount Rushmore Wood Ornament
We cut and engrave each layer on Dusty Rose, our CO2 laser, in our Arizona studio. The lighter maple brings out the presidential portraits and fine engraving, while the cherry back layer gives the mountain scene depth without adding stain or extra color.
Both layers keep their natural wood tones and arrive with a clear finish already applied. We do not add stain or another clear coat. We attach the included brown cord, so your ornament arrives ready for a Christmas tree, wreath, wall hook, or patriotic display.
This design does not offer personalization. The focus stays right where it belongs—on four famously recognizable faces and one very ambitious mountain.

Mount Rushmore depends on small details, so this design gives Dusty Rose plenty to do. We use contrasting maple and cherry plywood to help the engraved portraits stand forward from the flag behind them. The result has depth without covering the natural character of either wood.
