I'm a midwest girl who took one look at another brutal winter and said "hard pass." Fifteen years later I'm living in the Arizona desert, mom to two grown sons, Nan to the best grandkids around, and married to my high school sweetheart Gene, who has his own creative streak — from cornhole boards to woodworking projects that keep our house looking pretty good too. When I'm not in the workshop you'll probably find me at a dirt track or yelling at my TV during Chiefs and Cornhuskers season. Running a laser cutting and engraving business out of my own workshop was never the plan — but honestly it's the best thing I never planned.
Cactus Air Designs was born from a simple idea: handcrafted doesn't have to mean basic. Every piece that leaves my workshop is designed, cut, engraved, and finished by me — no assembly lines, no mass production, just one woman, two lasers, and a serious attention to detail.
The Workshop
Meet Dusty Rose and Sedona — my two lasers and honestly my most reliable coworkers. Dusty Rose is my powerhouse CO₂ laser handling wood cutting and engraving, while Sedona is my diode laser that expanded what's possible around here — think metal, powder-coated items, and detailed precision work. Together there's not much we can't tackle.
Every piece gets sanded, finished, and inspected by hand before it ever gets packaged up. Because good enough isn't really my thing.
What I Make
From 3D layered wall art and wildlife candle holders to desk organizers, sassy desk signs, phone holders, leatherette items such as notebooks, can coolers, bottle openers and finally engraved tumblers — if you can laser it, I've probably already thought about it. The product line keeps growing because creativity doesn't really have an off switch around here.
Why Handmade
When you shop with Cactus Air Designs you're getting something made by an actual human who genuinely cares how it turns out. Not a warehouse. Not a algorithm. Just me, making things one piece at a time because I love it.
