She’s little, she’s laser-cut, and she’s got more personality than half the things on your shelf. The Chipmunk Woodland Candle Holder captures all the cheeky energy of the forest’s busiest little resident in a freestanding piece that punches way above her weight.

Dusty Rose, my CO₂ laser, cuts every detail right here in Arizona from premium maple, walnut, and cherry plywood. No stains, no dyes — pure natural wood tones sealed with a light clear coat. The grain is different on every single piece, so yours is one of a kind (just like a real chipmunk — they’re all a little different and equally chaotic).

The 2-layer design (no walnut - trees in the middle) keeps things sweet and simple with maple and cherry contrast. The 3-layer adds a walnut middle that gives her real depth and makes those tiny details really sing. Candle not included.

Chipmunk Woodland Wildlife Candle Holder, Laser-Cut in Arizona

Every Woodland Wildlife Candle Holder starts as flat sheets of premium plywood and comes out the other side as something you actually want to display. That process happens on Dusty Rose, our CO2 laser, right here in our Arizona studio.

The front layer is premium maple plywood — real wood veneer on top and bottom with a solid basswood core. It cuts clean, stays flat, and captures every tiny stripe and fur detail without losing definition. The back layer is cherry plywood, which adds warm contrast even on the two-layer version. Add the three-layer option and a walnut middle drops in between — that dark walnut is what gives all that small, intricate chipmunk detail its real pop and dimension.

The candle platform on top is engraved with the same pine cone and botanical pattern as the base, so the whole piece reads as one cohesive design. Your choice of exposed tab or hidden tab changes the look of that platform from the side — exposed shows the structural tab as a design detail, hidden keeps it completely flush.

The chipmunk is one of sixteen woodland animals in this collection and easily one of the most fun. She's sitting up, fully alert, probably planning something — which is very chipmunk of her. The detail work is tight and holds up beautifully at close range, and the open cuts let warm candlelight glow through in all the right places.

Cleaning: Dust with a soft dry cloth — no sprays, no damp cloths

Candle: LED candles are strongly recommended. If using a real candle, that is your call — just use common sense and never leave it unattended. Wood variation: Natural grain, tone, and slight color differences between pieces are normal. Real wood does that. It is character, not a defect.

Do I need a special candle for this holder? ＋

The platform opening is approximately 3 inches in diameter. A standard pillar candle or 3-inch LED candle fits perfectly. We recommend an LED candle — it is safer around wood, lasts longer, and gives a beautiful warm glow through the layered design. Candle is not included with the holder.

Is the wood stained or painted? ＋

Neither. The candle holders are made from natural maple, walnut, and cherry plywood that arrives pre-finished with a clear coat applied by the supplier. No stains, no dyes, no paint — just the natural wood tones sealed and protected. What you see is the real color of the wood, which is part of what makes each piece unique.

Will my Candle Holder look exactly like the one in the photos? ＋

Close — but not identical, and that is actually a good thing. These are made from real wood, and every piece of plywood has its own grain pattern, tone, and natural character. Your piece will have the same design, the same quality, and the same care that went into the one in the photos — it just might have a slightly different grain story. Wood coloring may also look slightly different depending on your screen settings and lighting.

After that window, all personalized and made-to-order sales are final. If I make a mistake on my end, I will make it right — full stop.

Production time is 5 to 10 business days after then cancellation period has passed . Shipping time is additional.
