July 20, 1969. Neil Armstrong steps off a ladder and onto the surface of the moon, and back on Earth, an entire planet holds its breath. It's arguably the most American thing that has ever happened — pure audacity, pure ambition, pure "we said we were going to do it and we did it."
I laser-engraved that astronaut, that flag, and that moon on Premium Maple plywood in my shop in Tonopah, Arizona, and every time I look at it I think — yeah, that's us. Part of the limited USA 250th Anniversary Collection, because the moon landing belongs in any honest celebration of what this country has accomplished in 250 years.

🔨 The Build - How It's Made?
Every ornament in this collection is laser-cut and engraved right here in my shop in Tonopah, Arizona on Dusty Rose, my CO₂ Laser. The back layer is Premium Cherry plywood — warm, rich, with that gorgeous reddish warmth. The front layer is Premium Maple plywood — lighter, tighter grain, and the perfect canvas for detailed laser engraving. Both layers are assembled by hand and finished with a clear coat. The hanging loop is cut right into the top of the design — clean, sturdy, no extra hardware needed.

They're officially ornaments but honestly they're just really good-looking laser cut pieces — hang them wherever makes you happy.
What exactly is premium plywood and why do we use it?
Premium plywood has real wood veneers on the top and bottom with a stable solid wood core. I use it specifically because its cross-layered structure handles laser heat without warping, which lets me achieve incredibly fine, crisp engraving detail that stays flat over time. It's not your garage shelf plywood — it's a quality material chosen for a specific reason.
